Sunil Shetty's fitness regime Inspite of being a hotelier, actor Sunil Shetty is very particular when it comes to his diet. He doesn't believe in eating junk food or anything that's deep-fried and prefers home cooked food instead. He says he tries to control his carb intake and follows a high protein diet to stay fit. Here's more about his food habits...  

  • I am…
    not a fitness freak, but I was born with an obsession for fitness.
     
  • My exercise routine…
    doesn't necessarily mean going to the gym. It depends, if I have time I hit the gym and do more of cardio and weight training. I also play squash, cricket and go jogging sometimes in the morning.
     
  • I am fond of...
    eating fish and chicken. I like to follow a proper protein diet.
     
  • I avoid eating…
    rice, fried stuff, carbs, chocolates and junk food.
     
  • My eating schedule…
    is perfect. I don't eat from time to time but I make sure I eat the right food. I start my day with a cup of green tea, fruits and cereals or egg whites for breakfast. For lunch, I eat some vegetable, dal, salad and brown rice. After a gap of two to three hours I have some popcorn or a handful of nuts or a veg sandwich and for dinner I mostly prefer dal, vegetable and a piece of chicken or fish. I avoid carbs as much as possible.
     
  • Fitness to me…
    is my life. Whatever I am today is because of my fit body. I started my career as an action hero and I still do action scenes. So, it's very important for me to stay fit till the time I'm a part of the film industry.
     
  •  Fitness tips…
    Stay focused in life. Don't eat too much of oily or junk food and if you do, make sure you exercise and burn those extra calories. Exercise is a must if you want to live a longer and healthier life.
