Hair Colouring Techniques
|
Although most people don't think of hair as an accessory, it is one and is worn every day of your life! A coloured crowning glory is one of the hippest fashion trends in the modern world and becoming popular by the day.
Whether it is international celebs such as Paris Hilton, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Aniston, or our very own Rani Mukherjee and sizzling hot Kareena Kapoor at home, coloured hair is the perfect way to jazz up a boring or dull look!
While older hair colouring techniques often had people trying to hide their colouring job (because their hair resembled hay!), the various hair colouring techniques of today will surely make you want to flaunt it. There is simply no doubt that colouring your hair is a great way to enhance your beauty, provided you choose the right type and technique of hair colouring that is.
Various processes are used for different hair colouring techniques. These are:
- Foiling: Hair is sectioned and a square piece of foil is placed underneath. The colour is then applied to the hair and the foil is folded so as to keep it away from the other sections. This process allows you to colour hair very close to the roots.
- Weave caps: Hair is coloured using a weave cap. Hair is pulled through small holes in the weave cap for subtle changes in hair colour.
- Baliage: Specific parts of the hair are hand painted using the desired colour. This is a very personalized process and is generally used for hair that is extremely wavy or curly.
Obviously, these processes require a great deal of expertise and are best left to professional hair dressers, but a little information never hurt anyone. So get out there with your colour of choice and transform your dull hair into a fabulous mane.
